My Why
My Why
Let me share with you my passion and the reason for this business.
After my son was diagnosed as autistic at age 3, I embarked on a journey of learning to better support, encourage, and empower his neurodiversity. Through this experience, I realized just how crucial early childhood development is, and how much of an impact parents have in raising confident, capable, and resilient children. I strongly believe that a gentle parenting approach is the best way to support neurodiverse children in leading fulfilling lives.
Through my son’s eyes, I’ve come to understand that attachment is the number one factor in his growth and well-being. The strong, secure bond we share has been the foundation for his development, especially as a neurodiverse child. By nurturing that connection, I’ve seen him thrive in ways that I wouldn’t have anticipated without that deep sense of safety and trust between us. It’s through our attachment that he feels supported, understood, and empowered to navigate the world in his own unique way.
This understanding has shaped my approach to parenting and my work with other families. I help parents understand the unique ways their children communicate, perceive the world, and navigate their sensory needs. I believe that every child, especially those who are neurodiverse, experiences the world in their own way, and it’s essential for parents to recognize and support these differences. By fostering this understanding, I guide parents in creating an environment where their child feels safe, understood, and accepted—where they can express their authentic selves without fear of judgment.
I also provide advocacy to support children in kindergartens, daycares, and schools, ensuring that their needs are understood and met in these environments. I work closely with parents, teachers, and all relevant third parties to create a collaborative approach that guarantees the child is supported in every aspect of their learning and development. By acting as a bridge between parents and educational professionals, I help ensure that each child receives the personalized care and attention they deserve, building a strong foundation for success both in and outside the classroom.
Above all, I believe in listening to the child—not what society says is “normal” or even how we were raised, but truly listening to their individual needs, feelings, and experiences. By doing so, I help parents create a nurturing environment where children feel heard, valued, and secure in their own identity. This approach fosters a sense of confidence and self-worth, enabling children to grow and thrive in their own unique way.
